The year 2020 will witness an annual solar eclipse on 21st June. The previous one was on December 26, 2019, after 15th January 2010, and 1st September 2016. In an annular solar eclipse, the moon covers the sun from the centre and leaves the outer periphery visible which looks like a “ring of fire”. It can last from under a second to 12 minutes.
The annular phase of this solar eclipse on 21st June will be visible from parts of Africa, south of Pakistan, northern India and China. People in these regions will see the distinctive ring of fire if the weather is clear.
Regions of South/East Europe, much of Asia and Africa, North in Australia, Pacific, and the Indian Ocean can see at least a partial solar eclipse. Upgrade to Basic Plan to unlock this content! This content is locked
